Lashley Aims to Debut Standup at Saturday's Strikeforce
Bobby Lashley has heard the critics and wants to push his budding MMA career into the next gear, starting with Saturday's heavyweight bout against Chad Griggs at Strikeforce in Houston.
The former WWE champion said goodbye to TNA Wrestling in January and says he's dedicated himself to paving a path in MMA, which included a recent trip to the American Kickboxing Academy to work with UFC heavyweight contender Cain Velasquez, Strikeforce up-and-comer Daniel Cormier, as well as jiu-jitsu coach Nate James.
In this Sherdog.com video exclusive, the collegiate wrestler said he aims to introduce his striking to the world on Saturday.
Strikeforce "Houston" airs live on Showtime at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
